Nosa Ogbebor was an active volunteer with the Nigerian Canadian Association of Ottawa (NCAO) and an avid soccer player. After he suddenly and tragically collapsed and died in 2018 while playing in a soccer game, the association decided to celebrate his life with an annual memorial soccer tournament. Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions won the the inaugural competition held at Brewer Park and which featured four locally-based community teams: Ghana, Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Cameroon.
