Nigerian born Chukwunwike Osiagwu has emerged as the best student of the year 2015 at the St. John Paul the II Catholic School in Pineview Ottawa. According to the school authorities, eleven-year-old Nwike excelled in all areas of the Grade Six program. The qualities are combined dedication and excellence in academic achievement, participation in extra-curricular activities, technological awareness, school spirit, leadership and a demonstration of Gospel Values.

Young Osiagwu also bagged the Director of Education Award. The award is presented annually to a student in Grade six who best exemplifies the gospel values of Faith, Community, Partnership, Persons, Excellence, Justice, and Stewardship.  Chukwuniwke’s teachers and friends described him as a very confident person, who consistently accommodates others. His Principal Mr. Sean Crookshank said, “Nwike always showed respect for all staff and his peers, and is conscious of, and promotes social Justice in the World around us… He consistently strives to achieve his personal best in his academic endeavors and tries to enrich his life, as well as the lives of others”.
