Wednesday 15 August

One of Ottawa’s best known community leaders, Denise Siele is bidding for a seat in Canada’s parliament. The first step was the launch of her party’s nomination campaign this evening at the Legion Hall on Fallowfield Road. Some fifty supporters and fans were there to listen to Denise speak about her plans if she gets nominated and elected to the position of Member of Parliament for Nepean, in the upcoming 2019 Federal elections, under the platform of the Progressive Conservative Party. Highlight of the evening was the robust endorsement of Denise’s candidacy by Campaign Chair, Senator Marjorie LeBreton, who spoke eloquently about Denise’s accomplishments as a community leader and advocate.  Denise herself presented a list of her priorities if elected, which included:

  • helping to make life more affordable for families, individuals and businesses
  • fostering economic opportunities and safety for all including children, seniors and veterans and
  • controlling wasteful government spending.
