Over a hundred people from Ottawa’s multicultural and immigrant communities were at the Jim Durell Recreation Centre on Walkley Road to participate in the fourth annual hosted by the Ottawa Newcomer Health Centre , in partnership with the University of Ottawa Medical students. The event featured health information booths, live demonstrations, face painting and henna for the children. Exhibitors included: Birth & Wellness Centre; AIDS Committee of Ottawa; Ottawa Hospital; Diabetes Association; Muslim Food Bank; Ottawa Public Health; Dietitians of Ottawa and Midwifery Group.
