Ottawa City Hall was filled to the rafters as hundreds of Ottawa’s diverse population gathered to witness Ottawa’s DreamKeepers honour one of Canada’s best known sports figures. Mentor, philanthropist and motivational speaker, Mike “Pinball” Clemens had evolved from cup winning player, to coach, President and now Vice chair of Toronto’s Argonauts Football team. Clemons received the prestigious DreamKeepers’ Life Achievement award during the annual Martin Luther King Junior Day celebrations. Mayor Jim Watson was there to welcome the guests as was MPP and Minister for Correctional Services and Community Safety Yasir Naqvi, city councillors and numerous VIPs and community leaders from Ottawa’s diverse racial, ethnic and religious communities.
