In recognition of Canadian Multiculturalism Day and as part of Welcoming Ottawa Week, the Ottawa Police Service hosted its second annual Diversity Celebration at the OPS headquarters on Elgin Street. Visitors were treated to displays and entertainment showcasing over a dozen different cultures and nationalities in Ottawa, from far-flung places in Africa, the Caribbean, South America and Europe. The Ottawa Police Service Recruitment Team was also on site to provide information and answer questions about careers in policing.
