Let God Arise.

by Rev Bassey Ekong

Father, thank You for this day. Thank You for Your holy Word. Lord, help us understand today’s message according to Your Word, in Jesus’ name.

Please refer to Psalm 68:1-3- Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him. As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God. But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.

This is a prayer, originally prayed by Moses each time the children of Israel wanted to move while in the wilderness and the Ark of the Lord’s covenant would lead, by the power of God, to the location God wanted them to go. Then it was attributed to David, the Psalmist for his song.

This prayer and song is from the mouth of the righteous person, asking God to arise and to come to his/her rescue. Without God, our adversaries would destroy us. We’re the handiwork of the Lord. Our mission here is to prepare ourselves for eternity with the Lord, Jesus. We’re to live our lives like Jesus. You’re wicked when you don’t respect or fear the Lord. Like smoke, the wicked is driven away. Like wax, they will melt away before God. God is a consuming fire; every sinful thing and wicked behavior cannot stand before Him.

Beloved, I don’t know your problem but I know that with God nothing is impossible, and nothing shall be impossible for Him to remove or stop from harming you, His child. God says, in Psalm 50:15, “Call upon me in the day of trouble, I shall deliver you and you shall glorify me. Again, He assures in Romans 10:13 & Acts 2:21, “ They that call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Beloved, when it seems like the world is caving in on you and there’s none to call, it is time to cry to the Lord. It is written, “Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near. “ (Isaiah 55:6).Your help comes from the Lord, therefore, raise your voice and call Him by faith. He will certainly hear and answer you. He has promised, “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of all your enemies, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Deut. 31:6-8. Beloved, God’s promise that He will never leave you nor forsake you, is found in multiple books of the Bible, in both the Old and New Testaments. With this promise, you can be assured that He is always with you, and be encouraged to always seek His presence,  He’s your God, in faith and in spirit.

No matter your past, or your foundation, when you repent and return to God’s loving mercy and grace He will arise and scatter your enemies for you whenever you call upon Him and you will thank Him for His glorious love and compassion. Whatever your problems are. Whatever it is you are struggling with. Loved ones may abandon you. you may lose more than you bargained for. Your business may be nose-diving to a halt, or your children may behave otherwise, your wife or husband may begin to turn your marriage upside down, or your health may threaten your strength and survival, your ministry may be struggling and your calling in doubt or your finances may be in adverse condition, take heart and know that, what your God cannot do does not exist. Your God is bigger than all your problems no matter how much the devil tries to magnify them to introduce fear into your heart and make you be afraid. Call on the name of the Lord and ask Him to arise and scatter your enemies and let all those who hate you and hate Him leave you alone.  I pray for you, that the Spirit of God will inspire you to believe in His saving grace and eternal mercy. It is well with you and your family, in Jesus’ name.

I pray for you: Father, hear the call of Your people and deliver them. Lord, arise and save Your children who call Your perfect name and scatter their adversaries and set them free in the presence of Your power, the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

The Lord bless and prosper you, spirit, soul and body, in Jesus’ name. Please share the blessing. The Lord bless you always.
