Villa Marconi Banquet Hall on Baseline Road was alive and buzzing as the St. Vincent & the Grenadines Ottawa Association hosted its 37th Anniversary of Independence gala, combining it with a “Keeping HOPE Alive” fund-raiser for the flood and hurricane-stricken people of Haiti. It was an inspiring evening of music and philanthropy for the people affected by Hurricane Matthew in Haiti and the Ottawa School Breakfast Program.
The evening also featured the SVGA Special awards for the following: Presley Johnson 2016 Community Builder award; Kerwin Dougan 2016 Community Entrepreneur award; Nicole Greaves 2016 Consul General Best Dress award.
