The Trinidad and Tobago Association of Ottawa (TTAO) hosted its annual TrinbaGo Day on Sunday, an opportunity for the island country’s citizens in Canada’s national capital to celebrate and showcase their culture and heritage with the wider Canadian community. The event was held at the Jean Piggott hall of the City of Ottawa, with over two hundred people in attendance. Guests were treated the scintillating sounds of the Nepean Pan Harmonics Steel band, Shefali’s Bollywood Dance, an indigenous dance, and the dazzling performances by West-Can Folk Performing Company of Montreal, whose youthful stilt dancers stole the show entirely.
