On November 15, 2013, a small but nonetheless enthusiastic crowd of Zimbabweans gathered at Ukrainian Hall to hear gospel sensation Sabastian Magacha perform in Ottawa for the very first time. Known for his dynamic Shona gospel presentations, Sabastian Magacha started his musical career back in the early 2000s as a backup singer for artists such as Mercy Mutevsene, Bethan Pasinawako and Taurai Nzira. His debut album, “Tomudana” was released in 2005. This was followed by “Baba Ndokutendai” (2007), ‘Tinaye Faithful God’ (2010) and “Mapostori” (2012). Mr. Magacha and his band delighted the audience by performing several tracks from his latest album, “Back to Sender”. Look out for this talented artist next summer as he returns for another memorable concert!
