“You were my best friend, my mother and my father. You thought me to be kind and respectful to others.” With these words, son Kofi extolled the virtues of his late mother, Felicia Ayayee, at her funeral service at St. Paul’s Presbyterian church on Woodroffe Avenue on Saturday 25 October. The event saw over two hundred family members and friends of the popular Ghanaian-born teacher and dress designer. The service presided over by Rev. Grant Wilson, was marked with tributes, eulogies and testimony to the love, kindness and devotion of the respected mother, grand-mother, sister and friend to those in the congregation. Internment followed later that day at Capital Memorial Gardens on Prince of Wales Drive.
