New radio station gives voice to Black communities in the national capital region
The African Canadian Association of Ottawa (ACAO) has added another initiative to its long list of programs in the national capital region. With the launch of a new app-based talk radio station, the organisation marked a new era in its mission to outreach the African Caribbean and Black Communities in Ottawa and beyond. ACAO has recruited an dynamic volunteer editorial team consisting of: producers, anchors, reporters, feature writers, editors, social media managers, marketers, promoters and technical crew, from across the spectrum of their membership base, with experienced media person, Olasupo Fagbemiro as Chief Executive Officer. The new station is expected to run 24/7 with an eclectic choice of programs ranging from politics, sports, music, interactive talk shows and more.
The launch of the talk is another feather in the cap of ACAO President John Adeyefa and ACAO CEO Hector Addison, to add to their long list of achievements, since the inception of the organisation over ten years ago. Over the years, ACAO has built up a reputation as an umbrella organization for the 53 African country associations and ethnocultural groups in the city of Ottawa and the national capital region.
