A Tribute to Our Brother, Lee Theodore
by Monty Domingo, President, ACIAEO
Wednesday 13 August 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we at the African Caribbean and International Association of Eastern Ontario (ACIAEO) mourn the passing of our dear brother, friend, and community pillar, Lee Theodore, who lost his courageous battle with cancer.
Lee was more than a familiar face in our community—he was a true community guru. He had no boundaries when it came to recognizing the needs of others. Whether it was lending a listening ear, offering his time, or sharing his wisdom, Lee always found a way to connect, uplift, and inspire.
His achievements in helping others are countless. Lee had a rare gift for identifying needs before they were spoken and stepping in without hesitation. He brought that same spirit to every initiative he touched with ACIAEO—from his warm presence at our Black History Month celebrations to his joyful involvement in our community BBQs. His presence always brought light, laughter, and a sense of belonging.
Lee will be remembered not only for his kindness and dedication but also for his deep commitment to creating a stronger, more compassionate community. We will miss him dearly—as a brother, a friend, and a true needs identifier whose heart knew no limits.
On behalf of the entire ACIAEO family, we extend our love and condolences to Lee’s family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. His legacy will continue to guide and inspire us.
Rest well, Brother Lee. You have run your race with honour.
