The Angels Foundation had many newcomers at our  meeting today 10th August 2025.
It was our regular meeting as we usually have now once a month to meet and greet any newcomers in our area or our community and to see if there is any way we help in our little way.
We  had 18 newcomers from Government shelters in Ottawa community that  attended for the first time and 22 other newcomers who have already received help for the organization and are now volunteering as a volunteer staff .
Most of the newcomers shared their major challenges so far as food, employment and shelter . Most of them experienced how depressed and frustrated they are, on a daily bases as the live in their shelters apartment with fear. This is because they are being asked to leave their shelter home to a different city by government agents on a daily basis. The reason for this is because according to those government officials, Ottawa is to full so they are required to go where people are needed live Newfoundland. Flights come from Newfoundland regularly to pick up people. And most of them don’t want to go.
The Angels Foundation provided food for all of them to eat and take home
Provided clothing and gave moral support too.
It was a great day
