Racial discrimination in healthcare services among Black individuals in Canada as a major threat for public health

32.55% of Black individuals declared having experienced major racial discrimination in healthcare services. Those who experienced major racial discrimination in healthcare services were less vaccinated against COVID-19, presented higher scores of vaccine mistrust, conspiracy beliefs, COVID-19 related stressors, depression, anxiety, and stress, and had lower scores of community resilience.
Racism is systemic by definition, but another evidence of its systemic nature. We really need to stop the colorblind approach in healthcare delivery. Yes, it is a racist approach.
