I am proud to announce Ellie Hannah Fortune is this year’s Dr Michelle Walker Scholar. Ellie Hannah will be graduating from Sir Wilfrid Laurier SS. She is the co founder of @swl.blk365 student union, member of the OCDSB Youth Action Committee, 2023 prom committee member, a leader in her church community and a member of Cohort 5&6 of the Black Youth Forum course.
Her vibrant personality, amazing smile and determined work ethic have made getting to know her over these past two years extra special. She truly is a reflection of the things we loved most about Michelle Walker.
She will be pursuing a major in Conflict Studies and Human Rights @uottawa in pursuit of her passion for advocacy in equity.

Adrienne Coddette is a Black community advocate and high school educator. Her organization, 3Dreads and a Baldhead/BeMoreCommUNITY (founded in 2000), provides opportunities for people in Black communities to transform their lives by maximizing their physical, mental, spiritual, and economic potential.
