Jaku Konbit’s Kwanzaa celebration lights up the city of Ottawa
The Mosaic Blu Legacy Convention Centre on Bowsville Road was abuzz last Saturday as over 200 guests assembled to celebrate the 2024 Kwanzaa festival, Ottawa style. Hosted by the city’s premier community organization, Jaku Konbit, under the leadership of its iconic President, Ken Campbell, it was an evening of ceremony, inspirational speeches, symbolic rituals, good food, entertainment and happy camaraderie and companionship. Black Ottawa Scene was there to capture and share images from this annual Yuletide celebration.
