I am truly honoured to have been chosen by the Women’s Executive Network of Canada (WXN) and Mercedes Benz Canada as an Emerging Leader. When I was asked if success can come from helping others, my response without hesitating was and will always be: Absolutely! In fact, it is by opening doors for others that I was blessed with even more than I imagined. I am here standing on the shoulders of giants who have opened doors for me and many others. We gain so much more by genuinely wanting others to win and knowing that the only thing that is everlasting is the legacy that we build on a daily basis and how we make others feel.
It is my sincerest hope to continue to open as many doors as possible for others, for there is truly room for all of us to win!
Talking of winning and empowering our communities, I am thrilled to a part of a solid legacy builders team at Equal Chance who is building important programs from women and black communities across Canada. We are also currently working on Ottawa’s very first Afro World Fest, the Nation’s Capital largest Afro cultures festival, celebrating and discovering Black Cultures in Ottawa through Music, Arts, Fashion and more at the iconic Landsdowne park from September 4th until September 6th, 2020. This festival is offering an empowering plateforme for our local Artists and businesses while promoting unity within our society.
Equal Chance has also wrapped up a two day forum with six young brilliant woman taking part in our EmpowHer program at the Sentate of Canada thanks to Senator Marilou McPhedran.
I sincerely thank all those who trust us and support our programs.
These achievements are not solely mine but those of a team of dedicated folks who also deeply and genuinely care to see other people thrive.
