2024 Montréal Carimas Festival celebrates Caribbean culture
The Caribbean community celebrated the rich diversity and cultural heritage of the Community in the vibrant city of Montreal at the 2024 Montréal Carimas Festival. Formerly known as Carifiesta or Carifete, this iconic celebration of Caribbean culture has been a cornerstone of Montreal’s vibrant cultural tapestry for decades. The parade was held on Rene-Leveque Blvd. from St. Laurent Street to Peel Street while the Carimas Sizzle was held at the park Place du Canada.
The event was hosted and organized by the Caribbean Coalition Network of Montréal (CCNM), comprising Barbados House Montreal, Jamaica Association of Montreal, Guyana Cultural Association, Dominican Island Cultural Association, Antigua and Barbuda Association, Grenada Nationals Association, and the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Association.
