On December 6, 2014, the Noble Women of Ottawa organization held their 10th Anniversary Gala Fashion Show/Dinner/Dance at St. Geneviève Church Parish Hall. Every year, at the beginning of December, this group of women from different backgrounds and religions hold a formal dinner to raise money for local charities helping women and families in need. They help families who are new to Ottawa, provide assistance with childcare and groceries for people who are ill or bereaved, and much more. The fashion show usually features creations by Noble Women co-founder Margaret Bekor-Fotona, who is a Richard Robinson Academy graduate and well known in the local West African community for her breathtaking designs.
