The Ghanaian Association of Ottawa (GAO) celebrated their country’s 69th Independence Day anniversary with a gala at the Mosaic Convention Centre on Saturday 7 March 2026. Guest of honour was the Ghana High Commissioner to Canada Professor Dora Edu-Buando. Other dignitaries present were the GAO President, Peter Affum; GAO immediate past President Robert Otoo; Global Community Alliance President Yomi Pratt; African Canadian Association (ACAO) President John Adeyefa; and ACAO Executive Director Hector Addison.
