On June 26, 2015, the Association of Foreign-Born or Trained Professionals held its second forum: “Cultural Diversity Franco” at Ottawa’s Richelieu-Vanier Community Centre. The event, whose 2015 theme was “Growth, Development and Involvement”,  aimed to recognize not only the contribution of foreign-trained professionals to multiculturalism in Canada, but also to showcase and honour Francophones who have contributed to the diverse Francophonie in the Ottawa region. Those honourees included Ottawa-Vanier federal MP Mauril Bélanger, former CESOC President Pierre Dadjo, and Collège La Cité’s Albert Kayumba. The keynote speaker was Haitian community advocate Jocelyne Constant, and the musical entertainment was provided by the talented trio La Famille Louis.
