Congratulations, Vanessa! 
We are proud to celebrate Vanessa Murengera, recipient of the “Orléans Leading Women and Girls Recognition” award. This well-deserved honor recognizes her outstanding commitment to the Burundian and Black communities in Ottawa.
Among her major achievements, she founded Dorcas House, the first support center of its kind in the Burundian community, providing a safe space for refugees and newcomers in Ottawa.
