Happiness Ever After is a 2021 sequel to 2016’s Happiness Is a Four-Letter Word. This movie is about three ladies and their search for happiness starring Zandile or Zaza (Khanyi Mbau), Princess (Renate Stuurman), and Zimkhitha (Nambitha Ben-Mazwi). The previous movie starred Zaza, Princess, and Nandi (Mmabatho Montsho). This movie is about relationships, love, entrepreneurship, friendship and sisterhood, success, identity, forgiveness, death and more. Each lady seeks the true meaning of happiness as an accomplished businesswoman and friend.
One lady is a widowed mother perceived by her sister-in-law, Fakazile (Xolile Tshabalala) as a bad influence on her later brother, Bheki (Simo Magwaza). She tries to avoid the trouble and vendetta to take everything from her but takes solace in her mother-in-law, Magcwensa (Nandi Nyembe). Another lady is a single mother dating a man, Maxwell (Daniel Etim-Effiong) she thinks is best for her and her daughter, Thandi (Motshabi Marobele). She goes through the pressure of her child’s father, Leo (Richard Lukunku) returning and trying to make amends for his absence. The last lady is single businesswoman, florist and yoga instructor trying to allow herself love again with Yonda (Yonda Thomas), the man she’s trying to make it work with.
This movie is a good watch as Khanyi Mbau, Renate Stuurman and Richard Lukunku reprise their roles with the new cast.
