Two Amazons, the irrepressible Sarah Onyango (R) and Uganda’s High Commissioner to Canada, Joy Ruth Acheng,

What a lovely evening it was yesterday with such distinguished Balck professionals hosted by the African-Canadian Senators Group to mark this year’s Black History Month at the Senate of Canada. Nice to have formally connected with Uganda’s High Commissioner to Canada, Joy Ruth Acheng, the Dean of the conference of African diplomats in Canada, with whom we will be working on some key community-based research programs. It was great to meet other important people in our community including the vivacious Nigerian-Canadian spoken word poet, Nonso Morah, who gave a thrilling performance at the event.
