The Canadians of African Descent Health Organization (CADHO) hosted its Health and Wellness Circle event at the Sandy Hill Community Centre on Saturday. The event included a gentle exercises session and presentation on dealing with loneliness both led by Kudirat Salam-Alada; drumming led by by famed Ottawa drummer Wandara; dancing led by Professor Josephine Etowa; craft design led by Aba Tsiagbey; presentation on HIV/AIDS awareness by two AIDS Committee of Ottawa volunteers; with a delicious meal of jollof rice to round off an entirely enjoyable afternoon.
