Teacher Crystal-Lee Savage was in her element as mentor and motivator, as she once again guided the students at Colonel By Secondary School to a rapturous Black History Month extravaganza on Wednesday evening at the school auditorium. An evening of song, dance and drama featured the cream of the school’s multicultural and diverse student population. Led by co-heads Kika Otiono and Drew Simpson, the students enthralled the audience of parents, family members, alumni and fans of the prestigious school, to an evening of entertainment intertwined with information about the history of people of African heritage and their contribution to the Canadian mosaic.
