After 15 gruelling and often depressing months of pandemic lock-down, employees at the Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization (OCISO), finally got a chance to let their hair down at the organisation’s annual Fun Day. To accommodate all the staff, while complying with public health pandemic guidelines, the outdoor event was situated at two sites: Tom Brown arena on Scott Street and the Language Instruction for Newcomers (LINC) on Bank Street. Cheered on by Executive Director Leslie Emory and ably organised and directed by Manager, Dragana Mrdjenovic and Donielle Ramon, staff participated in light-hearted competitive egg-spoon races, rope-skipping, soccer-ball dribbling and the inevitable tug-of -war. Black Ottawa Scene was there to capture this fun-filled event.
