Ghana’s High commissioner to Canada His Excellency J. Ayikoi Otoo and Mrs Patricia Hanson Mettle hosted a grand reception for some 100 guests a the Chateau Laurie Friday evening in celebration of the country’s 63rd Independence anniversary. Dignitaries in attendance included Canada’s government representative Isabelle Berard, Assistant Deputy Minister, Sub Saharan Africa branch, who spoke eloquently of Canada’s warm relationship with Ghana in trade, and development. Among the diplomatic corps members was Nigeria’s High commissioner to Canada Ambassador Adeyinka Asekun.
