The Sheraton Hotel on Albert Street was a beehive of activity as guests from Ottawa’s diverse communities mingled with VIP’s at the 6th annual Global community Alliance gala to mark the end of the 2015 Black History Month. Hosts Yomi and Kelly Pratt once again outdid themselves with a program of community awards, excellent cuisine, music, and comradeship that have been the hallmark of this annual community showpiece. Among the who is who in Ottawa guests were the Nigerian High commissioner, Chief Ojo Maduekwe, MP Royale Gallipeau, MPPs Marie-France Lalonde and John Fraser and Councillor Rick Chiarelli along with top brass from the various Ottawa School Boards.
