Keena Eloise was raised in a very musically enriched environment. From a young age, she sang as part of church and school choirs, and has had support and encouragement from her loving family and friends to continue her musical growth. In 2011 Keena Eloise completed a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance at Queen’s University, where she was a member of the Queen’s Student Opera Company performing several roles including the title role in Bizet’s Carmen and Hansel in Humperdink’s Hansel and Gretel. In 2012, Keena represented Ottawa in the Ontario MusicFestival Association Provincial Competition as part of the annual Kiwanis Music Festival and was featured in their Showcase Gala, receiving a total of four awards and scholarships. She has also performed in concerts and recitals in all over Ontario most notably including the 2012 Ottawa International Chamber Festival Rising Star Gala Concert, the Cathedral Arts Young Artist Showcase Concert honouring black history month, Ottawa Parkdale United’s 50th anniversary Commemoration of Martin Luther King’s Speech event, and various Association Independence Day galas and charity functions. She has studied and worked with world-renowned professionals in Sulmona, Italy as part of an intensive summer Opera Program. In 2014, Keena received a Masters in Vocal Performance degree from the University of Toronto. She currently teaches her passion of music and performance with a successful music studio of over 50 students.
