The Nigerian community in Ottawa came together on Saturday 11 October to mourn the loss of one of their own.  Jacinta Ife Chukwu was a final year student nurse at the University of Ottawa when she passed away on 22 September after a short illness. Friends and family gathered at the Kelly Funeral Home on Carling Avenue for a memorial service, conducted by Rev. Olu Ayeni.  In attendance were Mrs Bola Asaju, Head of Chancery, representing the Nigeria High Commission; President of the Nigerian Canadian Association of Ottawa, John Adeyefa; President of the Igbo Community Association, Boniface Obiorah;  friends from the university and relatives from Montreal including her uncle Mr Oniaha.  The deceased was laid to rest at the Capital Memorial Garden on  Prince of Wales Drive after a short service of prayers led by Rev. Ayeni.
