On Saturday 21 September, family and hundreds of friends gathered at the Ottawa Church of God on Carling Avenue, to celebrate the life of Josiah “Joe” Hoilett, who passed away on Sunday 8 September, 2013. Joe was a long-time employee of the Royal Ottawa Hospital, retiring 18 years ago after a dedicated and exemplary service. The funeral service was presided over by Bishop Trevor Hall. Family members, friends and former work colleagues paid glowing tributes to Joe the dedicated family man, father and grandfather, with a kind and warm-hearted disposition. Pall bearers included his children: Lancelot, Cleavy, Paul, Andrea, Derrick, Stephen, Mervyn, brothers David and Hubert and Stanford Lewinson.
