Three Black community leaders were among nineteen exceptional women and girls honoured by the government of Ontario, at the 2016 Leading Women Leading Girls Building Communities awards, hosted by popular Ottawa Centre MPP Yasir Naqvi.  Toni Francis, Suzan Lavertu and Paula Whitelock were on hand at a the Bronson Centre to receive their well deserved awards for their tireless volunteer work and community engagement.
