Hope you and your loved ones are enjoying this beautiful summer weather. Our Top Story for August 2026 is the African Canadian Association of Ottawa Multicultural Day, a most entertaining event which attracted hundreds of visitors.
Other stories of note are the Police Hero of the Year award to Staff Sergeant Devon Archer and the award of an honorary doctorate degree by University of Ottawa to Nobel Prize winner Dr. Denis Mukwege. On a sad note we join our community in mourning the passing of Bishop Jacob Kehinde Afolabi, one of the city’s iconic community leaders and advocates.
