Ottawa Centre MPP and Ontario Attorney-General Yasir Naqvi hosted a special ceremony at Carleton University to recognize 50 women, 50 men and 50 youth with the #OC150 Award. This award recognized community members who have contributed Ottawa Centre in one or more of the following ways:
• Celebrating diversity/inclusion
• Building community/capacity
• Protecting the heritage of Ottawa Centre
• Protecting the environment
• Promoting a healthy communityThe award ceremony was emceed by CTV Ottawa’s Stephan Keyes, and the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, Elizabeth Dowdeswell delivered a keynote speech. Among those honoured were eight Black community leaders:
