The Network for Black Business & Professional Women hosted its very first Dress for Success event on November 20, 2013. The small group of NB2PW members and supporters who attended amassed an impressive number of gently (or never) used women’s clothing, shoes and accessories. Dress for Success Ottawa is a charitable, not-for-profit organization that provides professional attire, a network of support and the tools to help women thrive in work and life.
Dress for Success Ottawa has opened its doors to serve economically disadvantaged women who are looking to enter or re-enter the workforce in the National Capital Region. Since January 2011 we have assisted over 700 Ottawa women who are taking that step to secure their own economic independence. NB2PW’s next networking event, the Third Annual Christmas Cocktail, takes place on Sunday, December 8, 2013.
