On Sunday, 8 December, 2013, the Network of Black Business and Professional Women kicked off the festive season by hosting its third annual Christmas Cocktail Evening. The event, which featured a mouth-watering buffet, live entertainment and door prizes, was attended by various community supporters and NB2PW honorary patrons H.E. Florence Chideya (Ambassador for Zimbabwe to Canada), H.E. Sheila Sealy Monteith (High Commissioner for Jamaica), and H.E. Dr. Mathabo Tsepa (High Commissioner for Lesotho).
Originally established in 1995 in Montreal, Quebec, the Network is open to Black women who are self-employed, professionals, or small business owners. It offers an opportunity to share ideas, build friendships and exchange support on primarily a professional, but also on a personal level. Meeting monthly, NB2PW presents its members valuable networking time and informative presentations from a variety of speakers.
