On December 7, 2013, guests representing various segments of Ottawa’s multicultural community gathered at Sainte Geneviève Church for the annual Christmas celebration organized by Noble Women of Ottawa. They were treated to a sumptuous buffet dinner featuring various West African dishes, musical entertainment provided by Montreal’s DJ Khalid as well as a fashion showcase presented by the organization’s founder, Margaret Bekor-Fotona, a local designer trained at the famed Richard Robinson school of fashion design. Noble Women of Ottawa is a non-profit group with a vision of uniting women to form a social network and circle of support.The group is open to women of all nationalities and ages, with each member bringing their unique ethnic and cultural experience to help promote and educate others.
