Rheema Ministries choir in full voice

Saturday 5 October 2019

As part of their cross Canada tour, the Walls Gospel Group was at the Rhema Christian Ministries on Saturday to headline a gospel extravaganza hosted by Gospel Connection Canada. Some 200 screaming teens, pre-teens and a handful of adults were in full voice as the evening rolled out, first with the Rhema’s Team of talented songstresses, opened the act followed by solo guitar vocalist Jordan St. Cyr, whose songs included strong advocacy for Compassion Canada, a not-for-profit that raises funds to provide education to children from poor families in developing countries. The climax was the award-wining Walls Group, which gave the fans everything they wanted and more. The Houston, Texas-based urban contemporary gospel quartet, The Walls Group, started in 2009. It is made up of four siblings, from oldest to youngest: Darrel McGlothen Walls, Rhea Walls, Alic (Paco) Walls, and Ahjah Walls. The group was nominated for Best Gospel Performance/Song at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards, for their song “Love on the Radio”. The quartet was also nominated at the 30th Stellar Awards in the following categories: Artist of the Year, Group/Duo of the Year, CD of the Year, the Contemporary Group/Duo of the Year, Contemporary CD of the Year, and Music Video of the Year.
