Rita Orji named One of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in 2021
Dr Rita Orji, Associate Professor of Computer Science
Dr Rita Orji, an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Computer Science, Dalhousie University, and Canada’s Research Chair on Persuasive Technology, has been named one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in 2021 in a list compiled by the Women’s Executive Network.
The North American organization propels the advancement of women at all levels, in all sectors and of all ages.
The award winners were described as “trailblazers and groundbreakers for future generations.”
They are also women who “advocate fiercely for diversity and inclusion in business on corporate boards, and within Senior leadership.”
Dr Rita Orji of Nigeria extraction graduated with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan as a Vanier Scholar.
She is also a First Class graduate of the Department of Computer Science from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria.
