The chapel of the McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home on Hunt Club Road was packed with a standing-room only congregation, as family, friends and former co-workers gathered to honour the late Elizabeth “Bukky” Okusanya, who had passed away on 28 July, 2019. Bishop Jacob Afolabi presided over the memorial service for the deceased who, until her passing, was an active member of the Christ Chapel Bible Church. The burial followed immediately after at the Hope cemetery on Bank Street and a reception for the mourners at the Greenboro Community Centre on Lorry Greenberg Drive. Late Bukky is survived by her mother, Mrs. Florence Okusanya; daughter, Sarah; siblings: Tunde, Yemi, Owolabi, Adeolu, Yinka, Funmilayo, and Olanrewaju, and a large extended family in Canada and Nigeria.
