About thirty hardy souls who braved Ottawa’s frigid icy winter storm and made their way to the Ottawa Public Library on Metcalfe Street, were the recipients of a show worth remembering. The Black History Month event titled: Nigerian Panorama, was a partnership between the Nigerian Canadian Association of Ottawa, Black History Ottawa and the Ottawa Public Library. Highlights of the evening were a video history of the evolution of Nigeria from the arrival of British colonialists to Independence and beyond, a high scale fashion show featuring various exotic and ethnic Nigerian fashions, and short films by upcoming Nigerian film-maker Henry Eruotor.
