                                  Let God Fight for You

by Rev Daniel Joseph

Prayer: Father Lord, we give You all the glory for being our Lord, our God, and our salvation. Thank You Lord, for Your holy Word. Father, May Your will be done for our lives today as we use Your precepts to guide us in righteousness. We love you Lord, blessed be Your holy name forever, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Beloved, it is written, “Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.  As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God. But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice. (Psalm 68:1-3)

Beloved, God looked at His creation and saw a need to be fulfilled, so He made you in His own image, and shaped you to be like Him. He put you here for a purpose. Now, the enemy sees the glory of the Lord upon your life, he comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). The devil did not create you, indeed, the devil creates nothing. He didn’t give you a purpose to fulfill; therefore, you owe him nothing. The Lord your God, He’s the one who is for you and the one you answer to. He has endowed you with everything you’ll need to succeed on earth. Let not ignorance make you fall. Say “yes” to Jesus and look unto Him, Jesus, the author and the finisher of your faith in God. In doing so, fight your battles with the Word of God and not with carnal weapons but spiritual weapons; God’s word, His promises, His faithfulness, and the power of His Word.

Please turn with me to Exodus 15: 14, “14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” This is our hope and peace. The Lord shall always fight for us. He hates anything or anyone attempting to destroy His will and purpose for our lives, so He backs it up with safety, security, protection and action. When you’re attacked, please don’t be afraid, be confident that He who put you here is the one who sent you and He will do it and glorify Himself in your situations. Be confident and call upon Him in every situation; He has promised to fight for you; He wants nothing to steal His peace and joy from your life. He will fight for you.

You have a duty to carry out, and that is: You must let God be God in your life. How? You should not try to avenge yourself by paying back evil for evil or fighting in retaliation because you will not know the right weapons to use. He says, “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” (Rom. 12: 19). If you take vengeance from God and cumber yourself with it, then you’re disobedient and non-compliant. You rebel against the authority of God just like your enemy, and God hates disobedience for disobedience is like the sin of witchcraft. Let God fight for you. Is God ready and able to fight for you? Yes, He will fight only when you hand over your attackers to Him: Goliath mocked the name of Israel’s God for 40 days. God disgraced the Philistines army in less than 40 minutes. Rabshakeh, of Assyria was sent by Senacherib to insult Israel’s God. God released only one of His fighting angels to destroy and decimate 185,000 Assyrian soldiers before the next morning. Jezebel fought the prophets of God and tackled Elijah; she died a miserable death, in accordance with Elijah’s prophesy against her. Haman fought Mordecai and the nation of Israel. He died in his gallows. Dethan, Abiram and Korah fought Moses in the desert. The ground opened and swallow them and their families. Achan disobeyed God and heeded not Joshua’s instruction, God punished Israel because of him until he was found and destroyed. Daniel was condemned to die by lions, but his attackers and their families died by the same lions they tried to feed Daniel to, just to mention a few.  God will fight for you whether the devil likes it or not. You just have to believe and have faith in His invincible power. The Lord will fight all your battles and win the war over your head and give you peace. You only must surrender to Him and just believe.

For your prayers: You must be ready to forgive and pray for your enemies: “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.” (Matt. 5:44). This is a command, that you should remember that the Lord is standing by you to defend you and you should use the attack of your enemy as a platform for strength, faithfulness, obedience, and righteousness. Do it and watch as their weapons backfire while the Lord fights for you. Forgiving your enemy is very important when you surrender your battles to the Lord. Matthew 5: 23-24, 23 “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, 24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.”  That means, you could be praying amiss if you habour anger, hatred, and un-forgiveness. They are the works of the flesh. As a child of God, you’re living in the spirit and should yield to the fruits of the spirit. “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. (1 Cor. 13:13). So, beloved, let what remains and drives your spirit be faith in God, hope of salvation and love for God and for your neighbors, good and bad, as well as for yourself. Love is the key that opens the heart of God and He will fight for you. I pray for you, that God, your Father in heaven shall arise and scatter all your enemies and also release His hornet to pursue all your enemies and the wicked and your foes when they come to eat up your flesh, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Pray these prayer points:

O God, arise and fight my enemies and let all their weapons backfire, IJN

Powers that hate my progress, hear the word of the Lord, scatter, IJN

Power of God, locate me and help me to love and pray for my enemies, IJN

Spirit of God, power of love, overshadow me now, and help me to love my God and my enemies and friends, IJN

O God my Father, let the wickedness of the wicked consume the wicked and let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end in my life by fire! IJN

I pray for you: Father Lord, I put Your people in Your hand. Lord, help them to live their lives for you. Fight for them and let them have peace according to Your Word.

Please share this message. The Lord bless and prosper you body, spirit and soul in all of your endeavors, now and always, in Jesus’ name. Thank you for being here.

It’s me, Daniel Joseph, your prayer partner. Thank You Jesus.
