A Message from Councillor King
Dear Residents:
I want to share some important updates about the investments and progress we’re making across our ward. As your City Councillor, my mission remains focused on building safe, affordable and healthy communities through improved infrastructure, traffic safety, and poverty reduction initiatives. You’ll be receiving a detailed householder report by way of Canada Post this week that outlines all of these accomplishments and nearly $30 million in investments.
One of our major accomplishments is securing funding for critical road safety improvements. We’re moving forward with a comprehensive safety study along Beechwood Avenue in 2025, which will examine traffic conditions and sidewalk connectivity from the Vanier Parkway to Beechwood Cemetery. The City has also approved traffic-calming measures along North River Road and Donald Street, with construction expected in 2026, as well as a protected intersection at Vanier Parkway and Donald Street.
