Colonel By Secondary School was abuzz on Wednesday as hundreds of students, parents, family and friends gathered at their auditorium to witness an amazing spectacle titled “In Living Colour”, in celebration of the 2015 Black History Month. Under the tutelage of teacher-turned-impresario Crystal-Lee Savage, the vastly talented multi-ethnic and multi-racial group of students produced a show to remember for those who were lucky to be there, braving the chill of winter to get to the Oglivie Road venue. They wowed the audience with an eclectic mosaic of songs, poetry and skits portraying challenges and stereotypes facing people of colour in their daily lives. Not only did they entertain, they also provided a delicious meal to the audience during the intermission, foods generously donated by local businesses and parents.

Kudos and a big shout-out to the planning team: Kika Otiono, Kaneesha Amethyste, Jola Ilori, Maggie Xia, Jack Ren, Amaru Andia-Rodriguez,Drew Simpson, Sabrina Khaddaj, Armin Farhoudi, Lukas Romsicki, Nina Brynn Jeffrey, Serene Kabir, Monica Moraheb, Sahej Kaur, Mapendo Ngilinga de Carvalho and Mr. Skuce.
