The Ghanaian Association of Ottawa hosted Ghana’s 58th Independence Celebration Dinner and Dance in collaboration with the Ghana High Commission at the Villa Marconi Centre on Baseline Road on Saturday 7 March 2015. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Sulley Garbah, Ghana’s High Commissioner to Canada. Among the performances were cultural dancers from the University of Ottawa, Ghanaian Students’ Association, Ghanaian Cultural Group from Montreal, and the Baobab Cultural Dancers of Ottawa. Dance music was provided by DJ Bizzy from Toronto.
