St. Luke’s Park on the corner of Frank and Elgin Streets, Ottawa, was a hive of activity, as popular Ottawa Centre Member of Parliament, Hon Yasir Naqvi hosted the 2025 Ottawa Centre basketball competition. This year’s contest, pitted the young St. Luke’s basketball team against the old plus a special wheelchair competition. The event was accompanied by a BBQ manned by volunteers and brought together MP Yasir’s numerous fans and constituents. Unlike the 2024 version which was almost entirely rained out, Mother Nature cooperated and the event was celebrated under seasonable sunshine to the delight of the organizers. Black Ottawa Scene was there to bring readers photos of this totally enjoyable occasion.
