On Sunday, December 14, 2014, The Network of Black Business & Professional Women (Nb2PW) hosted their Fourth Annual Christmas Cocktail Evening, at the Embassy of the Republic of Zimbabwe under the distinguished patronage of the Ambassador for Zimbabwe to Canada, H.E. Mrs. Florence Chideya, and the High Commissioner for Lesotho to Canada, H.E. Dr. Mathabo Tsepa.  This well-attended formal evening included lots of networking, a delicious menu prepared by members of NB2PW’s executive as well as live entertainment by local artists Angelique Francis and Karen Monie (accompanied on guitar by Peterson Altima).  Two other heads of mission were in attendance: Mrs. Janice Miller, the new High Commissioner of Jamaica, and Ms. Birtukan Ayano Dadi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Canada. To add to the festivities, some lucky guests won beautiful raffle prizes provided by local business owners Mary O. Ogunyemi, Mary Kay Sr. Sales Director  (a gift basket filled with Mary K. Cosmetics products), Chidima Nzakamulilo of Chidima Designs (an African print scarf as well as a cloth iPad case), Ms. Ndeve Mutisya (a beautiful beaded hand bag inspired with Kikoi cloth trim), Mrs. Vilma Laryea (a unique glass-bead necklace and earring set), and Elcho Stewart of Weblife Financial (several gift-baskets).
