The Auditorium of the Library and Archives Canada was transformed into the show of excellence and talents presented by the Second Latin American Women Entrepreneurs Expo on Saturday May 3rd, 2014. The Expo brought together more than 50 exhibitors, all of whom were Latin American Women living at the National Capital Region. The closing feature of this event was the performance of the extraordinaire Ottawa based and Cuban born pianist Miguel de Armas. Talented musicians accompanied him in this exclusive concert: Toronto-based drummer Ahmed Mitchel, bassist Roberto Riverón, Ottawa-based conga player Arien Villegas and Cuban singers Adan de Dios and Caridad Cruz. The program of the evening combined the propulsive rhythms and spirited melodies of Latin jazz, Cuban traditional music and other acclaimed musical genres of Latin America. They definitely brought some heat to the venue with her high-energy that created standing ovations and made the audience stood up to dance. The show was definitely an outstanding performance and a pretty groundbreaking party!
